The Power of 100+ Nuts is an innovative and community-drive approach to local philanthropy!

• Collective Giving: Over 100 community members each contribute $100, creating a substantial pooled donation of $10,000

• Direct Community Impact: Local organizations have the opportunity to secure significant funding

• Transparent Selection Process:

  • Three pre-qualified organizations are randomly selected to present

  • Organizations give a focused 5-minute pitch to explain their mission and planned use of funds

  • Winner is chosen by secret ballot from event attendees

  • Remaining two organizations receive $1000 grant from Durham Community Foundation
